Officials have released further details about the terror plot that led to the cancellation of Taylor Swift’s concerts in Vienna.
A day after the arrest of a 19-year-old individual suspected of planning attacks at major events in Vienna, including Swift’s three-concert Eras Tour stint, authorities have disclosed that the suspect has provided additional information about the scheme, and more data on other potential suspects has emerged.

8 media briefing, law enforcement revealed that the primary suspect, who intended to commit suicide and kill a “significant number” of others using knives and explosives, had confessed to his plans.
Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, the head of Austria's Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, stated during the briefing, as reported by NBC News, that the Austrian national of North Macedonian descent had acquired bomb-making manuals.
Investigators found items such as hydrogen peroxide, homemade explosives, detonators, and detonator cables in the primary suspect’s residence, with Haijawi-Pirchner indicating that the explosives were already prepared.
Officials expressed their relief at having thwarted the attack.“A disaster was averted,” Austria’s Interior Minister Gerhard Karner announced at the press conference, according to news reports.
