That's what Stephen Curry was thinking two years ago after winning his fourth NBA title with the Golden State Warriors. All he has left to win is an Olympic gold medal.
In the Nick of time, he made sure that this medal would not be missed. Team USA reigns supreme in world basketball: Curry scored 24 points -- all on 3-pointers -- in a 98-87 victory over France in the Paris Olympics final on Saturday night. It was the fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal for the U.
S. men's basketball team and the 17th time in 20 Olympic appearances.
"You just have to stay confident, stay focused, and don't get caught up in the moment," Curry said. "Steph deserves it," U.S. coach Steve Kerr said.
Curry hit four 3-pointers late in the game, including one with 1:19 left. After the ball hit the net, Curry ran back and forth on the court, yelling and tugging at his jersey, so that everyone could see the word "USA" on his chest.
If that wasn't enough, he hit another three-pointer with about 30 seconds left, then put his hands to the side of his face in a "sleep" celebration.
Good night. The game is over. The gold medal. America wins.
"It's crazy for me to win a gold medal, and thank God I had the opportunity to experience that," Curry said.
