In a candid moment on her podcast Just Jackie, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jackie Goldschneider shared the reason behind her and Teresa Giudice’s decision to reconcile their long-standing differences.
Goldschneider, 47, revealed that the two met with their husbands off camera to put their past grievances to rest, which she acknowledged made some people “uncomfortable.”
“We have both inflicted so much pain on each other over the years,” Goldschneider explained.
“We’ve been harsh and vindictive for so long, but we chose to forgive and move on. Many people find it difficult to accept that.”
Goldschneider further explained that she and Giudice, 52, had a heart-to-heart with their spouses, where they apologized to each other and their husbands for past transgressions, and agreed to move forward together.
“It was more than just pretending everything was okay,” Goldschneider said. “This has led to a genuine friendship that’s blossoming away from the cameras.
”
Goldschneider acknowledged the value of a peaceful existence, which she has found by letting go of her desire for revenge. This reconciliation comes at a time when the show’s executive producer, Andy Cohen, hinted at a possible reboot for season 15, suggesting a new cast could be in the works.
Cohen, during an episode of his SiriusXM radio show, addressed the deep divisions and long-standing feuds on RHONJ, stating, “We are exploring a fresh start.
”
“We’re open to change,” Cohen added during Andy Cohen Live in July. “We’re all on the same page about that.”
