The series “House of the Dragon” is poised to conclude with its fourth season, as announced by Ryan Condal, the showrunner and co-creator of the show.
During a press event for the series held after the conclusion of its second season on Sunday, as reported by Variety, Condal disclosed that the fourth season of the popular HBO Game of Thrones prequel would be its last. He also shared that the third season, which is yet to have a release date but is anticipated to debut in 2026, is aiming to commence production.
When will production for “House of the Dragon” Season 3 commence? Condal indicated that the shooting for Season 3 is scheduled for the early part of 2025.
“I haven’t had formal talks with HBO regarding this, but I expect the rhythm of the series, in terms of dramatic narrative, to remain consistent with Season 2 and onwards,” Condal commented.
The cast for Season 2 of “House of the Dragon” featured Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans, among others. Returning cast members included Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
New additions to the cast in Season 2 were Abubakar Salim portraying Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox in the role of Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
